Best ramen restaurant in Amsterdam. Finishing their bowl is a challenge

Tucked away down a side street. Very reasonable prices for exceptional bowls of ramen. Cannot reccommend enough!

Not your average chinese. That's because it's Japanese. If you're looking for sweet and sour chicken and rice, then go somewhere else.However, if you want a more traditional meal amd one you're not used to, then this is your place.Very tasty food, service is good and setting is nice. But let's emphasise the food...... Really tasty and different.Well worth a go.I'll be back. (and I'm not even Arnie!)

As Amsterdam locals and ramen connoisseurs we were a bit weary of the touristy location but this is hands down some of the tastiest ramen!! 😍 The bowls are massive, authentic chicken flavored broth with juicy grilled chicken and the perfect parboiled egg. Gyoza also magical!

We reserved a spot for 18:30 and still had to wait 20 minutes for a table. They were quite rude still giving tables to others because they had been waiting for a bit. But they never reserved. Either way, food is good, lots of selection. Service though is atrocious and would recommend they work on that

Atmosphere was quite Japanese, the noodles were ok- a bit Chinese blended type of ramen. a bit greasy for me but overall fine. I have friends who loved the ramen here.

Spicy noodles were absolutely delicious and so were the appetizers. The waiter forgot to put in our order so we waited a little long but they gave us free beers while we waited so that made up for it. Overall it was a good experience withe great service and great food.

While the ramen flavours are far from the most authentic, they taste great and the noodles have great bite and the portions are very big

Good price, massive meal. Fills you right up. Flavor was good, not oversalted like some places.

Best ramen in Amsterdam. I’ve been to Japan twice and I can confidently say that Umaimon’s ramen, the spicy mala chicken in particular, is the closest I’ve had to authenthic Japanese ramen. Also the drinks here are really nice. I’d definitely recommend their homemade ice tea & calpis cassis!

Great place for Sapporo Ramen! Definitely worth it and very tasty. Bit pricey though.

We walked by and it sounded interesting so we tried it. So glad we did. We went around 5 and there wasn’t a wait (but there was when we left). There are many ramen options (and other non ramen appetizers and entrees). The ramen bowls are big with lots of protein and noodles. The broth was delicious! I liked the spicy option and the miso broth option. Perfect for a slightly chilly rainy evening. Yum! We will be back.

Alright. Noting to dream of or mention to your friends. Simple, clean environment, speedy service. Prices one expects to pay when in the heart of the City, albeit for mediocre food. No option of tonkotsu ramen which for me is a massive letdown, but the optional broths were alright. Staff was helpful and non intrusive, which I prefer. Good for a stop over and a quick bite, but do not expect wonders or for your tastebuds to party!

Food is pretty good. Place has a nice fibe and looks nice. As you can see in the picture I tried the Japanese Curry. It was really good and tasty. I just wish it had a bit more rice. I always finish my rice and got curry remaining. But overall, it's a good place to eat if you want to try some Japanese dishes (no sushi). I have been here multiple times and I am definitely coming back again.

Its usually hard to find seating in this place, but the wait is worth it. The food is reasonably priced and really tasty. The dumplings are apparently some of the best around.

One of the best Japanese/Ramen places in Amsterdam. The place is big and even good for groups. The staff is friendly and speaks good English. There are a few of dishes to select from not just Ramen, but also different dishes. Overall, the variation of main dishes and side dishes is very less, but the quality of the food is great! The quantity of the food is more than enough for a single person. The prices are average (i.e. €14-16 for a main dish) and it's worth it.Tip: If you get a meal with side dishes, you can ask them to change them for something you like (if you don't like the one comes with the dish)

Best ramen I've had in Amsterdam!!

It was very busy when we ate there,so we had to wait for a couple of minutes to have a table. Their ramens are good.

Umaimon is considered one of Amsterdam's best ramen restaurants. It's far less hipster than many of the city alternatives, and its location in one of the busier central tourist areas brings diverse clientele to its large space. It focuses on chicken-based ramen, but there are various broths and toppings that cater for vegetarian diners too.

Did not think this place would have vegan ramen... but they do! And best of all, it was super delicious! Portion was definitely worth the price. Very satisfied and definitely coming back for more! Thanks Umaimon!

Nice place. Quite big. Fast. Friendly. Not expensive. The noodle is nice! Broth could be more rich this time. Next time I'll try another one.

Great food quality and speed! Food was out in a timely matter, was cooked properly, in good portion, and downright delicious. Staff was all very polite and overall a great experience. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Best ramen I've ever had hands down. Can get quite busy so try to go during off hours.

That was a seriously good ramen! Despite this place is in a quite touristic place (leidseplein), the food here is really good! I had a gyoza and ramen, and I was really happy with my choice. Portions are really big and prices are good as well. Worth the visit!

I recently visited this place again. Great as always! Broth is very nice and the ramen have a lot of toppings. You definitely get full of the ramen. Waiting line was quite fast as well during peak hours.
